About the CAPP Fund
The CAPP Fund opened in 2020 as a nonprofit organization intent on increasing access to higher education by helping high school seniors at South Tahoe High School & George Whittell High School with the costs of a 4-year college application.
The goal…give more young adults the opportunity at a college education by taking away the small barrier of an application fee. Many students just need that one little “nudge” …and one less cost might just be the right nudge for some of our students. This fund is up and running, and now covers the cost of other higher education applications like trade school as well.
WIth the start of the 2024-2025 school year, the CAPP Fund will also be giving out one CAppED (College Application Extra Dollars) Scholarship, to one of the CAPP Fund applicants. No extra application needed, all CAPP Fund recipients who attend a 4-year university will be eligible!
Sincerely, Your CAPP Fund Board
